Dennis Doody Named 2011-12 CMSA Chairman
(CMSA, Cerritos, CA) – Dennis Doody, President of Blue Chip Moving &
Storage, Inc., an agent for Mayflower Transit Moving Company, of
Hawthorne, Calif., was named Chairman of the California Moving &
Storage Association (CMSA) on April 16, 2011, during the CMSA 93rd
Annual Convention held in La Jolla, Calif.
Doody
successfully operates his family-owned and locally-operated business
that was started by his father Richard Doody. Dennis Doody’s years
of work within the industry and his commitment to the CMSA made him
an excellent choice for the chairmanship.
Blue Chip Moving &
Storage, Inc. has been an active member in the Association for more
than 20 years. Throughout the company’s membership, Doody and his
staff have enthusiastically participated in CMSA Los Angeles Chapter
activities as well as general Association events.
Dennis
Doody officially accepted the position with the passing of the
CMSA’s ceremonial gavel from Senior Chairman Brian Larson, Vice
President of Sales from Mother Lode Van & Storage. The passing of
the gavel took place during the Chairman’s Ball, where Doody gave
his acceptance speech in front of his family and CMSA members. In
his acceptance speech, Doody vowed to keep his eyes open to new
possibilities while Chairman and perform the duties to the best of
his ability.
The CMSA is a non-profit trade association
representing over 385 licensed and insured movers operating in
California. The CMSA also includes more than 135 associate member
companies. Established in 1916, the CMSA is comprised of 12 Chapters
strategically located throughout California.
