- March 2026 Chairwoman’s CornerOn January 22, the Central Valley Chapter gathered at the beautiful Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino for what turned out to be an incredibly successful and well-attended event. We were just shy of 100 people in the room, which speaks volumes about the level of engagement and concern within our industry right now. We were honored to have several dignitaries in attendance, including representatives from Congressman Vince Fong’s office and Congressman David Valadao’s office, as well as State Senator Melissa Hurtado. - March 2026 President’s ColumnLate February included CMSA’s annual legislative day in Sacramento. All in attendance found the event educational and enjoyable. Our legislative advocates, Matt Robinson and Lizzie Guansona, of Shaw Yoder Antwih Schmelzer and Lange, did a great job of setting up relevant appointments, both at their office and a state legislative conference room, with regulators, legislators, and staff who already understood who we were and what was important to our industry. Our current legislative issues (listed on page 7 of this issue) were well-received on a bipartisan basis.
