
The California Moving & Storage Association is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the non-profit organization, Move for Hunger. With over 6,000,000 Californians struggling with hunger, there has never been a more important time for us to get involved. By teaming up, our members will be able to participate in feeding hungry Californians all year round. The program is a natural fit for movers of our association, and we are excited to begin giving back!
As you are aware, many people throw out a good deal of “stuff” during the moving process. Unfortunately, some of this “stuff” is food that could be delivered to a family in need rather than thrown away. Move for Hunger asks you to begin asking your customers to donate this unopened, non-perishable food during their moves. You should then deliver this food on a monthly basis to your local food bank or pantry, where it will be distributed to families in need.
